Canna Strawberry Jam Tutorial

Strawberry jam is one of the most versatile ingredients out there, perfect for turning a humdrum peanut butter sandwich into a stellar PBJ, for making crepes and pancakes into true comfort food territory, and for filling your favorite holiday desserts with flare.

Naturally, adding cannabis transforms this extra-special ingredient into something extra. We highly recommend bringing a (clearly labeled) jar to the cottage or family holiday celebrations – just be sure to store it well away from kids!

Learn how to make homemade canna strawberry jam. This recipe makes approx 6-8 jars.


4-5 cups strawberry’s, hulled and cut into pieces
1 cup canna sugar
5 cups sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 box pectin (57g), (2oz)
1/4 cup tincture

  1. Combine the sugar, honey, lemon zest, and lemon juice in a small saucepan and cook over very low heat for 10 minutes, until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the strawberries and continue to cook over very low heat for 20 minutes, until the strawberries release some of their juices and the mixture boils slowly. Cook until a small amount of the juice gels on a very cold plate. (Keep one in the freezer for testing).
  3. Pour the mixture carefully into canning jars and keep refrigerated.
