Texture-wise, these are super chewy, sort of like softer Rice Krispy treats.
If anyone is afraid to try one, just give them that comparison and they’ll chill out. I mean, they are brown mystery lumps, so I get it.
I also didn’t expect to ever use the term “mystery lumps.”
Original recipe yields 24 servings
They take just three ingredients, about 20 minutes of time, and the will power not to eat them all before you serve them.
- Butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat; add marshmallows and stir until melted. Cook and stir mixture for 2 minutes more. Remove saucepan from heat. Stir crushed cookies into marshmallow mixture until well coated.
- Press cookie mixture firmly into the prepared baking dish using a buttered spatula or waxed paper; cool. Cut into 2-inch squares.
